Suzanne and Matt's Donovan Pavilion Wedding in Vail

It's been a while since I blogged because I have been so busy this summer. Suzanne and Matt have inspired me to get back into it. Suzanne put so much thought and effort into her wedding and everything was absolutely beautiful!
I made a little slideshow of their wedding. I just wanted to try it out to see if it is something I could offer people with their packages in the future. I love the way it turned out!

Here are a few of my favorites from the wedding as well.

This is their first look, I love the blindfold idea! It was pretty funny. She teased him a bit before taking it off.

Way to be gorgeous Suzanne! Seriously!

We actually did their engagement session in Vail Village a while back. We tried to take pictures in the bridge, but there were just so many people walking around that it was nearly impossible. Here's an example of people respecting the bride! There was even a mom that pointed Suzanne out to her daughter and said "Look honey, it's a princess." Cute!

This is one of my favorite shots to capture. The groom adoring his bride as she walks down the aisle.

Haha! I love it when people let me take silly pictures.

They are obviously very happy to have each other. You can see it in their faces.

Everything was perfect, all the way down to Suzanne's shoes. Just adorable.

This cake is so beautiful! One of Suzanne's friends made it. It's definitely one of the most creative cakes that I have ever seen.

I want to thank Suzanne and Matt for letting me be a part of their day. I really loved being there and congratulations to you two for finding each other.

Hope and Greg's Overdue Boulder Engagement Session

I met Hope when I started networking with Denver wedding planners this year. After talking about the industry, Denver weather, and cute coffee shops, Hope told me she never had pictures taken of her and her husband though they've been married for years. I was more than happy to remedy this. We chose the Chautauqua Trailhead for the backdrop. This is why I love Colorado. You can find the most beautiful scenery so close to home.

Hope and Greg are so cute. They were so comfortable with each other and so clearly still in love after all these years.

This probably isn't something that most people think about, but I absolutely love the way Hope's hair and clothing are complimented by the landscape.

Ramineh's Maternity Session

There are three people that I used as models when I first started taking pictures that really influenced me to pursue photography as a career. All three of these girls Monica, Ramineh and Sarah (my sister) are absolutely gorgeous. They let me dress them up and take silly pictures with my little Minolta 35mm camera that my brother bought me as a Christmas present. Having moved 800 miles away from my hometown in Texas, I was pleasantly surprised when Ramineh asked me to take her maternity pictures. Ramineh is one of the most beautiful people I know. She has a passionate personality that you don't see in many people. She finds things that she loves and loves them with all of herself. I know she will make a wonderful mother and will love Zephyr with all of her heart.

Pregnant women are so beautiful. There is just something so sweet and delicate about them.

I generally don't like to post two pictures of the same pose on my blog, but I loved these two so much that I honestly couldn't pick between the two.

Maternity pictures are a celebration of a woman's changing body. Feel free to show off how beautiful your body is when you are pregnant!

This next one is an image that my sister Sarah (always so helpful) picked out for this shoot. She found it on Pinterest. I absolutely love the way it turned out.

This is James the love of Ramineh's life. They are so cute together.

David's Surprise Birthday Party!

I love totally unexpected surprises, so I was really happy when Lauren asked me to photograph a surprise birthday party for her husband David. The plan was to show up at Euclid Hall in Denver and surprise David when he arrived with Lauren.

Here is a picture of those sweethearts when they walked up the stairs.

The best part of this occasion more than a party, more than a surprise. The best part of this occasion was that Lauren and David have each other. This time of year is particularly important to them. They met each other in high school and at the age of 17 David was diagnosed with cancer, Hodgkins Disease. He went through six months of chemo and three months of radiation. After they graduated high school, David went to St Louis University and Lauren went to Chicago. David's doctors found another tumor when they were 20 years old, and this time it was much more aggressive. He went through three months of chemo and then had a stem cell transplant. David's birthday marks his years in remission. David didn't just turn 30 this year, he is also celebrating 10 years in remission. If that isn't something to celebrate, I don't know what is.

Lauren and David understand the danger of losing one another and the joy of being able to keep each other after coming so close to the end. I'm not saying that you should dwell on the possibility of loss, but instead be grateful for all that you have in life.

What a precious couple.

Anna Bé Anniversary with Duet Events and Cloud 9

I took pictures for Duet Events and Cloud 9 at the Anna Bé anniversary event held at the Mile High Station in Denver. There were many Denver Wedding Photographers present.
